Presentation of Vega del Codorno

The municipality of Vega del Codorno (149 inhabitants in 2014; 3,254 ha) is located 80 km north-east of Cuenca. The municipality is made of a series of villages scattered along the valley of river Cuervo: Las Chorretas, El Collado, La Cueva (municipal seat), Los Demetrios, Los Eustaquios, La Iglesia, El Molino, Los Perales, El Perchel, El Puntal, and Los Migueletes.

The flag of Vega del Codorno is prescribed by an Order ossueed on 19 November 2009 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 4 December 2009 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 238, p. 52,482 (text).
The flag is described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular panel in proportions 2:3. A blue triangle with three wavy horizontal stripes placed along the hoist and reaching the fly's midpoint, the panel's upper part red and the lower part green.

The coat of arms of Vega del Codorno is prescribed by an Order issued on 19 November 2009 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 4 December 2009 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 238, p. 52,482 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:

Coat of arms: Per pale, 1. Gules houses argent, 2. Or two pines vert and an axe gules. Grafted in base wavy azure and argent. The shield surmounted by a Royal Spanish crown.
