The Danish Scout Corps (Det Danske Spejderkorps) is not affiliated with any church community, but is nevertheless obliged to develop the scout spiritually according to the scouting movement.
The Danish Scout Corps was founded on 16 December 1910, but its first patrol took place at Gammel Hellerup Gymnasium on 20 November 1909 under adult leadership of Headmaster Hartvig-Møller, one of its founders. The Danish Girl Scout Corps (Det Danske Pigespejderkorps) has always regarded 10 October 1910 as its "birthday", since that day a girl patrol was set up in Frederiksberg "boys troop". The corps was united with The Danish (Boy) Scout Corps on 1 January 1973.
The organisation is Denmark"s largest scouting organisation for children and young people of both sexes and is a member of the Boy Scouts WOSM and the Girl Scouts" world organisations WAGGGS. It had nearly 36,000 members in 2016. Its seat is in København K (Central Copenhagen)
It is a state ensign with golden anchor on golden scout lily and was approved by royal resolution of 17 February 1949.

Not particularly big and near to the bank of the Langelinie Quay in København it is an easy prey.
