Description of flag:
It is a red over white over red horizontal triband, the white stripe approx double height, with a red shield with a broad white bordure. On the bordure is the red inscription in capital letters: "HAMMERDEICHER (top) RUDERVEREIN v.1893(bottom)". In the shield is a yellow pair of crossed oars.

Description of blade:
It is a white blade with a red shaft.
A spotted a pair of crossed oars in front of the club's boat house on 24 April 2010.

Description of flag:
There existed an older flag. It was simply red with yellow inscription "H" (shifted to hoist, "R" (shifted to top), "V" (shifted to fly) and "1893" (shifted to bottom).
