It is a red-yellow-green vertical tricolour with coat of arms slightly shifted towards the top (see left image above) or without coat of arms (see right image above).

Coat of Arms:
Shield Gules a linden Or issuant from the central peak of a triplemount Vert in base, the trunk superimposed in centre by a fess wavy Argent and beneath by an inescutcheon Argent charged with an impending cross Gules charged with an axe Argent in pale hafted Or.
Meaning:
The triplemount is representing the former independent municipalities of Ruhpolding proper, Vachenau and Zell. The linden is representing the new enlarged municipality. The fess wavy is a representation of the Traun River. The cross is representing the stone crosses in front of the local chapel, dedicated to St. Valentin. Finally the axe is referring to a local court of justice.
