Dresden Flag

It is a black over yellow horizontal with centred arms. §2(2) doesn't mention, whether the flag displays the arms or not, but in appendix 3 there are images of flag and banner.

Dresden Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale; at dexter Or two pales Sable; at sinister Or a lion rampant Sable, armed and tongued Gules.
Meaning:
The dexter half displays the arms of the Margraves of Meißen, the sinister half those of the Margraves of Landsberg, the Saxonian dukes of the Wettin kin were rulers in both territories. The arms of Dresden already appeared on the city seal from 1309. The seal may be older, as Dresden gained city rights already in the early 13th century. The arms have ever since been used by the city. (see right images above)The pales had been blue in the beginning, but the colour was likely changed to distinguish the arms from those of Leipzig. The arms basically remained the same, but probably in the early 2000s the shape of the shield was changed from Iberian Shield (German: Halbrundschild), the usual form of shields of German coats of arms to a slightly Samnitic shield. Also the lion had been slightly changed. He got a mane and claws and tongue were made black. (see left images above)

Klotzsche City (1935 - 1950)

Klotzsche gained city rights on 18 November 1935 and was incorporated by Dresden in 1950.

Klotzsche Banner (1937 - 1949)

It was a green-white vertical bicolour. The colours had been those of the city arms.

The 1st banner was approved on 27 May 1937, the 2nd banner was adopted on 13 June 1949 by the city council.
