Shield parted per pale, at dexter Argent a demi-eagle Gules armed Or couped per pale, at sinister Or a rose Gules seeded Or, leafed and stemmed Vert.
Meaning:
The demi-eagle is a differenciation of the Brandenburg arms. The rose is taken from the arms of the Alvensleben kin, which ruled the city under oblique (indirect) imperial rule until 1807.

The city has currently no proper symbols. Flag, banner and arms were abolished probably in June 2009.
