Shield Or two mattocks Argent hafted Sable in saltire, issuant from base a triplemount Vert.
Meaning:
The arms are those of the Rinchnach Provostry of the Benedictine Niederaltaich Abbey, which had an important influence since the beginning of peopling in the 11th century until 1803. The old arms of the abbey were combined with mattocks in order to symbolise the forest clearance started by the Benedictine colonists.
