Shield Azure an embattled round tower Or masoned Sable with port Azure and roof Gules.
Meaning:
A castle had been in a sinuosity of the Müglitz River, which was first mentioned in 1040. Since 1113 it was ruled by an imperial burgrave. The burgraves gained a widespread area in the Eastern Erzgebirge by forest clearance and were about to gain the local sovereinty. But they were expelled by the Margraves of Meißen, who incorporated the area in 1402. Dohna was mentioned as a city in 1445. 50 villages belonged to the local parish in the Nisan Shire. The arms are based on the oldest known city seal from 1525.
