Mömlingen Coat of Arms

Renaissance shield Gules a 6-spokes wheel Argent, flanked in chief by three heraldic roses Argent seeded Or and in base by two 6-point stars Argent.
Meaning:
Mömlingen was first mentioned in the 9th century. It became a possession of the Chapter of Mainz together with the major part of the Bach Shire. The village was ruled by different vassals of Mainz, the Reitze kin, succeded by the Counts of Wertheim and the Cup Bearers of Erbach. The Archbishops of Mainz had been the sovereigns between the 13th century and 1803, they are represented by the wheel. The roses are taken from the family arms of the counts, the stars from those of the cup bearers. The arms of former local rulers are unknown.
