Unterhaching Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per fess into blue over silver (= white) Above is a golden (= yellow), . bendy crozier accompanied by a vernicle of the same colour. Below is a green leaf of water lily. The shield has a narrow blue base wavy.
Meaning:
The leaf is a modification of the arms of the Benedictine monastery of Tegernsee, the most important manorial lord since the 12th century including the inferior cognizance since the 17th century. The crozier is alluding to the Premonstratensian monastery of Schäftlarn, another important manorial lord until 1803.

The coat of arms was approved by Bavarian ministry of interior on 6 October 1958.

The vertical version without arms is the one usually used, whereas the vertical version with arms is almost never used. The horizontal version with arms usually is much shorter, ratio about 4:5 or 5:6.
