Steinen Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess, above Azure a wall Argent, masoned Sable and consisting of seven billets ordered 3:4. Beneath Vert a fess wavy Argent.
Meaning:
The elements of the arms could already be found on local seals and stamps from the 19th century. The arms are based on the old arms of Steinen, displaying only three bricks in the wall ordered 1:2. The fess wavy is symbolising the little Wiese River. The bricks or stones (German: Steine) are canting. Their number in the current arms is referring to Steinen proper and the six municipalities, which had been incorporated between 1974 and 1975. Those had been Hägelberg, Höllstein, Hüsingen, Schlächtenhaus, Endenburg and Weitenau.
