Greifenberg Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Argent, a sinister facing bear passant Sable on top of a triplemount Gules, at dexter bandy wavy of four of Gules and Argent.
Meaning:
The dexter half displays the family arms oft he Lords of Greifenberg called "Die Greifen" (= the griffons), local rulers from the 2nd half of the 13th century until the end of the 14th century. The sinister half displays the family arms of the Barons of Perfall, who had pawned castle, village and district since the end of the 15th century, before Eberhard of Perfall gained complete control in 1507.
