Shield Gules, parted abased by a fess wavy Argent, in chief an inescutcheon Argent parted by a cross Sable at dexter and a provost's coronet Or at sinister.
Meaning:
In 1978 Schondra merged with Schönderling and Singenrain, which all belonged to the Fulda Imperial Abbey until 1803. Schondra was part of the Brückenau District (German: Oberamt), represented by the black cross, while the others belonged to the Thulba Monastery, which was led by a provost and is represented by the coronet. The fess wavy is a representation of the name giving Schondra River.
