Description of coat of arms:
In a blue field is a golden(=yellow) griffin, holding a silver(=white) shield in his left claw. Upon the shield is a blue 6-spokes paddle-wheel. The base is silver(=white) and separated from the blue field by a fessy, wavy line.
Meaning:
According to source the griffin is taken from the arms of the lords of Consbruch, who were residing at Hiddenhausen estate. The paddle wheel and the wavy line are symbolizing the rich water resources.
