Shield Gules, a helmet Argent with metal fittings and necklace, both Or.
Meaning:
The municipality overtook the arms of the former Helmstadt municipality. The helmet is a canting element. The pattern already appeared on a local seal from 1748. The tinctures were fixed in 1901 and the arms were adopted by Helmstadt. After the incorporation of two other municipalities the name was changed to Helmstadt-Bargen in 1975.

The arms were confirmed and the banner was approved on 20 July 1978 by the county administration, published in GABl 327/1979.

Shield parted per pale, at dexter Or a haystack Gules, at sinister Gules, a ley Or in pale.
Meaning:
The village had been a dominion of the Palatine Electorate, ruled by the Wittelsbach kin, from 1380 until 1803. Afterwards it became a dominion of the Margraviate of Baden. The colours of the arms are those of Baden. Acc. to source the name is derived from "Parac", an old word of a haystack, which is thus a canting element. The key is alluding to the Abbey of Worms, (local) ruler from 1719 until 1803.

Shield Argent, an abased bar wavy Azure, above a sinister facing raven combatant Sable.
Meaning:
The blue bar wavy is representing is representing a creek (German: Bach) and thus canting. The raven is taken from the family arms of the Lords of Helmstatt, local rulers in the 19th century. The raven already appeared on a local seal known since 1740.

The arms were proposed already in 1901, in use since 1950 and adopted by the municipality in 1956.
