Translated from municipal
web site:
"The flag was approved by the Municipal Council by Decree No
007 on 4 October 1983. The flag of Sutatenza is made of three
horizontal stripes of equal size:
- Upper stripe: White, symbol of peace and freedom;
- Median stripe: Yellow, symbol of the richness of education;
- Lower stripe: Green, symbol of hope in a better future and use
of the natural resources, especially for agriculture."
On the photographs
taken during the oath taking by the Mayor (January 2008), the
flag (or, at least, the flag shown on the stand together with the
Colombian national flag) seems to be horizontally divided
white-green.
