In 1999, Oromocto High School was granted arms, flags, and a commissioning pennant, as well as new insignia of rank, by the Oromocto High School Heraldic Authority. James Rose, Chief Herald Extraordinary, describes the theme of the bearings:
"The Colours and Pennants have been tinctured after the two principal tinctures of Oromocto High School, Azure and Or. The Central Device of those bearings, respectively, is taken from the core value of the outfit, said to be Teamwork. From that has been derived the letter T, which really is a merge between a chief Canton, a bearing of honor, and a fess Baton, a bearing of office. This device symbolizes the unity required in the fulfillment of these two virtues. After the organization was granted patronage by The Doctor S. Crabbe, Principal of Oromocto High School, a second Canton was added to emphasize their honor and esteem above other school organizations.
The flag and pennant use this central device in the main tinctures, portrayed edgewise so that the upper canton is per fess at the mast, and the baton is per chief, tapering off into the fly. The escutcheon portrays the central device Proper, superimposed in alternated tinctures the Cypher of Oromocto High School, "OHS".
In 2000, the outfit requested the Chief Herald provide his counsel for the creation of insignia of rank. Based on collaboration, the ranks for officers were based on the central device, placed on a deep azure epaulette. Cantons were added incrementally to represent rank. Noncommissioned personnel were granted ranks that consisted of a merge between the central device, without Canton, and chevrons to indicate rank. The rank of Sergeant Major (SgtM) has the patronage of The Officership Order and so the second Canton is added to the insignia.
A full achievement is under development at present, and is said to contain "the Principal escutcheon, supporters two Tygers rampant gorged, crest a gauntlet Or maintaining an arrow. Motto: Robur Vigilans et Versutum, lettered Or an Azure scroll.
All of the arms granted to the outfit were authorized by the Chief Herald
Extraordinary and attested by the Dragon Pursuivant and the Martlet Pursuivant.
They were accepted on Jan. 12, 2000, by Prior D. J. Johnston, Commander, and
Sergeant Major James Rose, RSM."
