About the Flag

A blue flag with a yellow-bordered red upright cross, with the municipal arms centred on a yellow lozenge.

The Municipal Flag of Água Branca will be quartered in a cross, with the blue quarters consisting of yellow stripes two modules wide overlaid with red stripes one module wide, arranged in pairs horizontally and vertically, intersecting at the center, with a yellow rhombus of eight modules in length by six modules in height superimposed on this point, where the municipal coat of arms is applied.

The Municipal Flag of Água Branca follows this rule, being optional:
Quartered in a cross: this symbol recalls the spirit of its people.
The coat of arms applied to the flag represents the municipal government.
The yellow rhombus represents the city itself, which is the seat of the municipality.
The color yellow is the symbol of glory, splendor, grandeur, wealth, and sovereignty.
The yellow stripes overlaid with red stripes represent the radiating power of the municipality, expanding to all corners of its territory.
The color red is a symbol of dedication, patriotic love, audacity, fearlessness, courage, and bravery.
The blue quarters represent the rural properties existing within the municipal territory.
The color blue is a symbol of justice, nobility, perseverance, zeal, and loyalty.
