Englewood's former flag can be seen on Google Maps. It is unknown when it was adopted, but it has seen use since at least 2007.

Description of the logo, according to the response from the city:
"In an effort to enhance the community’s sense of pride and identity, the City of Englewood introduced a new city mark in 1971. The lines in the mark represent an abstract tree. A tree grows and blooms with branches and leaves. A city branches out with streets and blooms with industry and homes. The circle represents law and order and protection. The imperfect and incomplete ‘E’ reminds us that a city is never perfect or complete. The color green confirms life.”
