(formally from 2010 to 2023 UkrOboronProm (УкрОборонПром) is a public company
(conglomerate or state concern, SC, more properly "State Control") which encompasses (as an association of)
multi-product enterprises in various sectors of the defence industry
of Ukraine. It was established during a period of major government and
administrative reforms in the country (2010–2011) and was born out of
the existing "Armoured Equipment of Ukraine" (1999) and "Technological Military Service" (source)
for the management of the enterprises of the military-industrial
complex, uniting more than 100 enterprises-participants (source)
in 5 major defense industry sectors, particularly in armament,
ammunition and military equipment development, manufacture, sale,
repair, modernization and disposal of weapons, scientific research,
export-import operations and participating in military-technical
cooperation with foreign states.
It was intended to be called "state economic association" (Ukroboronexport), pretty much copying the example of Russian
Rosoboronexport, but at the end it was finally denominated as "UkrOboronProm" (УкрОборонПром).
Initially it consisted of seven major state companies:
– Ukrspetsexport
– Spetstechnoexport
– Ukroboronservice
– Progress (Specialized Foreign-trade company "Prohres")
– Ukrinmash
– Promoboronexport
– Tasko-Export
In 2014 the conglomerate included 134 enterprises (123 state
enterprises and 9 joint stock corporations).
In 2021, Ukroboronprom was under state reform (source), which was finally signed by the President
on October 1, and was expected to be transformed into a joint stock company which could then also
participate in other joint stock companies as well as Limited liability companies, divided into two main holdings (Aerospace and Defence).
The company has ceased most of its activities across Ukraine since the
2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine and has relocated
much of its production abroad during the war (Sources: https://ukroboronprom.com.ua/pro-reformu and

On 21 March 2023 the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine renamed
Ukroboronprom into Ukrainian Defense Industry (source).

Ukrainian flag colors and below in black capitals the company's name
abbreviation (УкрОборонПром) and below that in blue, the type
"Державний концерн" (state concern) (picture).
