The Gonfalon

From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
"It was confirmed at February, 17th, 1992 by the decision of VI city council session of I convocation. The square panel, on a yellow background is blue cluster of grapes with a green leaf, from three parties (except for staff) on perimeter goes blue-yellow border, in width to 1/10 of flag parties. The authors are A.Grechylo and I.Svarnyk.

The grape in Ukrainian is "vynohrad" and the name of Vynnyky we can translate as "vineyard" or similar.

The Town

"The first written mention refers to 1368. In 1603 it was given the Magdeburg Right. In XVI - XVII centuries there was built a castle, a cathedral, a church of Christmas, vassiliansky monastery. And for all that the town was called "small Krakov"."
