621 "On Amending the Decision of the Vologda City" Duma dated 22.02.2001 No. 275
"On Approval of the Regulation on the Flag of the City of Vologda."
The flag
is registered in the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation under No.
1206

Flag adopted on 14 November 1996.
Red with the city arms in the center. The city arms differs from the
oblast arms by the fact that it
doesn’t bear the crown over the orb. Ratio 2:3.

This red flag with the city arms in the center was established by Resolution
No. 96 of the Presidium of the Vologda City Council "On the Flag of the City of
Vologda" and approved on October 10, 1996; Resolution No. 120 of the Presidium
of the Vologda City Council on November 14, 1996 approved the Regulations on the
Flag of the City of Vologda; a new version of the Regulations on the Flag was
approved on February 22, 2001, by Resolution No. 275 of the Vologda City Duma
"On Approval of the Regulations on the Flag of the City of Vologda."
This
flag has not passed the review process of the Heraldic Council under the
President of the Russian Federation.
