Shield Vert a millwheel with its shaft Argent, flanked at dexter by a distaff Or with yarn Argent and at sinister by a maize ear Or, on chief an escutcheon Argent charged with a cross Azure throughout, on base wavy Argent and Azure barruly wavy a trout Proper. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "LAZARIM"
Meaning:
Unlike other Portuguese communal arms showing a millwheel blazoned as "rodízio" (lit. arch. "gearwheel"), in these arms this is shown as a three-dimensional view of the whole implement, with proeminent vertical shaft and crank notch, and the wheel itself at the bottom, as an ellipse, due to perspective.

Presentation of Lazarim

Lazarim was one of the 14 communes of Lamego Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 407 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 16,54 km².
