Shield Gules two open pliers Or and a grape bunch Or leafed Argent, all set two and one. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "FERREIROS DE AVÕES"
Meaning:
The pliers refer to blacksmiths (Portuguese: ferreiros) and the grape bunch refers to viticulture.

Ferreiros de Avões was one of the 14 communes of Lamego Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes ; it had 426 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 2,65 km².
