Shield Gules an enhanced tower Argent masoned Sable with port and windows Vert, flanked by two chemists´ jars Or, on base on a grape leaf Argent a grape bunch Purple. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "S. COSMADO - ARMAMAR"
Meaning:
The name of this commune seems to be a cognate of St. Cosmas. This saint and his twin Damian are the Catholic patrons of Medicine and of the commune, and the jars on the arms are therefore canting. The tower is a representation of a tower, made of stone, by Dom Tedo. It is also symbolising early peopling and cultural heritage. The grape bunch is symbolising viticulture.
