The Tai'no sun color shades follow the written description at
those sites. The flag is green like the Coat of Arms. A white
undulating band runs horizontally across and is interrupted in
its middle by the figure of the Camuy sun, in this case
represented by the colors yellow and black.
Blas Delgado Ortiz, 6 April 2001
From <www.ngw.nl>:
"The green of the background means the green of the pastures
and vegetation in the municipality. The centre symbol is designed
in the art manner of the original inhabitants, the Taino. The
symbol representing the god of the sun, was called
"Camuy" in the native tongue. The interrupted wavy
white band represents the local river Rio Camuy, which goes
subterranean during part of its trajectory, creating one of the
most spectacular underground river cave systems in the world, the
Rio Camuy Cave System."
