The coat of arms of Valparaíso was designed by Manuel García Castrejón in 1976, being invited to do so as part of the Regional Fair and confirmed by Municipal President Javier in May or April 1989. The shield is outlined in multiple colors; of leather. At the top, an eagle remembering the Nationality. As part of the background is the Lechuguilla Hill, distinctive of the area. To the left, a deer among a forest remembering its environment and fauna; below a bundle of logs remembering the extraction of forest resources by a ravine for its geography. To the right, an image of the local Church of the Immaculate Conception for faith under a horse, known for its nobility. At the bottom, two fields; one of Oregano having a Huichol sombrero, typical of the South; and the other a typical sombrero over a cornfield, remembering cowboys and agriculture. In the center, over paper, a bull is depicted remembering bull-fighting. Over a map of the municipality is the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception and her rosary, venerated patron saint of Valparaíso.
