Gonfalon

It is known the council uses a gonfalon with the municipal coat of arms on it, probably being used for the first time under the term of Margarita Robles de Santiago (2021-2024) as the council informed me they didn't know when it was adopted; it is known the previous administration used a state logo and municipal logo flag before this.

Coat of Arms

The council approved its municipal coat of arms on 8 August 1987, being designed by Agustín Chavez, at the time director of the primary school. The council told him what they wanted, and then he added what was asked for onto his design. Surrounding the shield is ornamentation. Above it is a crown signifying royalty. Below is a ribbon reading "MORELOS, ZAC."; under this is a ribbon reading the motto "TRABAJO PROGRESO LIBERTAD". To the left side of the shield, a house is situated on a hill in front of a valley, remembering agriculture. To the lower-left, an image of José María Morelos, the namesake of the Municipality. The upper-right depicts the sun and its rays, representing progress and a new day.
