No Flag

It appears Villa de Arriaga does not use a municipal flag.

Coat of Arms

The council simply informed me they do not have information on the designer of the coat of arms. The shield reads "VILLA D ARRIAGA" at the top of its border, which has a point at the top (which can represent the sun). The sides, including the bottom, read the motto: "TRABAJO PROGRESO FUTURO" [work, progress, future]. The inner area is divided into three sections, the one at the bottom being bigger. The upper-left section depicts a sheep with big horns, symbol of its fauna and ranching. The upper-right section depicts a cob of corn and ear of wheat for agriculture. Finally, the lower section depicts the Municipal Building, with two trees in front of it; also seen in front is the monument in the principal plaza, reading 1874 on it for its foundation. Sometimes the year is in a ribbon at the top of the shield in some versions.
