from Tarimoro
The coat of arms of Tarimoro was adopted under the Municipal Administration under Municipal President Salvador Martínez (1955-1957), at the suggestion of Governor J. Jesús Rodríguez García for the adoption of Municipal Coats of Arms in the state. The municipal coat of arms was designed by the painter Manuel "Meme" Lara, local painter. Description according to the Encyclopedia of Municipalities and Delegations of Mexico:
It presents in the center three images, of Saint Michael the Archangel, patron saint of the town with the legend Quis ut Deux ("who like God") [found in older versions arched above him]; under to the left appears a willow which symbolizes the origin of the Tarascan word Tarimoro ("Place of the willows"), framed by mountains denominated Cerro Grande and La Bufa, characteristics which identify the mountain range of Los Agustinos, furthermore the arroyo historically denominated San Lucas. In the square to the right appears the Presa del Cubo dam, aquifer deposit which constitutes the source of wealth for agriculture, and contains a motto [over a ribbon with stars on its ends] that reads "Educación y Trabajo, Futuro de México". In the central part appears a tile and roof tile adorned with a peanut branch, that represent the principal economic activities of the place.
Also, the border of the shield is blue and reads "TARIMORO" at the bottom of it. Above the shield is a helmet and helmet signifying the colonial era.
