Coat of Arms

from conociendomanueldoblado.blogspot.com

The coat of arms was adopted in 1952, apparently being designed by Dr. Pascual Aceves Barajas, Presbyter José María Juárez, and Felipe S. Flores. Over the shield is a crown of sovereignty. It has the upper edges rolled. In the upper-left section, a beehive and bees are seen, signifying the hard-working people of Manuel Doblado. The upper-right section in brown depicts an ear of wheat and corn plant for the principal occupation of the municipality. The lower-left section depicts the big rock between the grass and reading 1681, a direct representation of its first name of Piedra Gorda and foundation. The lower-right section depicts over a golden color two hands shaking, representing fraternity of the inhabitants. A silver cross divides the four sections, and has in the center a ring that reads "NUNQUAM VINCTUS...FUIT" [NEVER DEFEATED], referring to the Insurgent hero José Antonio Torres, from the municipality. In its center, a tree is found, with a representation of him in front holding a flag.
