Kwale County is located in the former Coastal Province in the extreme southeast
Kenya, north of the Tanzania border
with the Indian Ocean in the east. The capital is Kwale and the largest town is
Ukunda.

A new flag of Kwale County has horizontal stripes of
black, white (fimbriated in light blue) and red with the county arms in the
centre.

The former flag of Kwale County comprises three vertical stripes of red, white
and green. The county emblem is placed in the centre of the white stripe,
which is double the width of the first and last stripes.
