The flag is described in the
Homa Bay County Flag, Emblems and Names Bill as having three stripes
of equal width, from top to bottom are orange, blue and green and a narrow white
strip running vertically on the extreme left edge (the hoist). The flag bears a
symmetrical shield bearing a cotton bud, the pineapple fruit, a fish in the
silhouette of a lake, the supporters of the shield bearing two roan antelopes
bordered by two strands of millet on either side.

This flag was previously attributed to Homa Bay County which has four unequal horizontal stripes of orange, light blue, green and orange. In the centre of the flag is the county emblem with the name of the county in white on a red scroll beneath.
It is not known whether this was the former county flag or a proposed design
