Flag

Located in Kobe City Hyogo Prefecture and established in 1966. The embroidered ceremonial flag has navy blue background with a gold and silver university emblem and vertically written in gold kanji university name with gold fringe. The university emblem is designed with a mirror, chrysanthemum, and hollyhock. The "mirror" in the center represents the soul of a girl, a pure heart. The "chrysanthemum" is a symbol of a woman's spirit and will to overcome difficulties with her fragrant beauty. The "hollyhock" is the family crest of the university's founder.

Ed. note: The university became co-educational in 2023 and has changed its name to Kobe Shinwa University (神戸親和大学) There is no note that the symbols have changed. Everything presented here was under its former name Kobe Shinwa Women’s University (神戸親和女子大学)
