The municipality of Donja Voća (2,844 inhabitants in 2001, 1,148 in the village of Donja Voća) is located some 20 km west of Varaždin.
The parish of Voća (Woycha) was already mentioned in 1334 as an "old parish" (parochia antiqua).

The symbols of Donja Voća were consecrated on 11 November 2010, during the celebration of the Day of St. Martin, the patron saint of the municipality (photo gallery).
The symbols were designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. company from Rijeka.
The flag is in proportions 1:2, red with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.

Coat of arms of Donja Voća - Image by Željko Heimer, 29 December 2010
The coat of arms of Donja Voća is "Azure on a base vert a garb or ribboned gules in front of a rake in bend, a scythe in bend sinister above a spade between a plough and a harrow all argent".
This is based on the municipality seal of 1864, whose colored version is found in Laszowski's Grbovi Jugoslavije [lsv39], blazoned there simply as "Azure a garb
between agricultural tools".

Ceremonial flag of Donja Voća - Image by Željko Heimer, 29 December 2010
The ceremonial flag (photo, photo) is a red gonfalon with three triangularly ending
tails with a yellow fringe and tassels, in the centre of it the coat of
arms topped with the name of the municipality in two arches and a grapevine
ornament below it.
The coat of arms in the ceremonial flag includes two noticeably
miscoloured elements: the handle of the scythe if yellow, as well as
the topmost ribbon binding the garb.
