The Town of Lipik (6,674 inhabitants in 2001, 2,257 in the town of Lipik) was granted the Town status in 1997.
Željko Heimer, 8 April 2001
The symbols of Lipik are described in Articles 5-7 of the Town Statutes Statut Grada Lipika, adopted on 9 July 2009 by the Town Assembly and published on 14 July 2009 in the Town official gazette Službeni glasnik Grada Lipika, No. 34, although adopted earlier.
The symbols were designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. company, from Rijeka.
The flag (photo) is in proportions 1:2, white with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.

Coat of arms of Lipik - Image by Željko Heimer, 7 September 2016
The coat of arms is "Vert, the 'Kursalon' building above a horse's head argent". Kursalon, a neo-Renaissance building from 1893, is the most representative building of the Lipik spa, renown as a treatment spa. Lipik is famous also for the Lipicanac horse, whose head is the other element of the arms.

Table flag of Lipik, two versions - Images by Željko Heimer, 28 July 2016
Several versions of the table flag are in use. The most common (photo) seems to be a white vertical flag with the coat of arms in the centre, the green inscription of the name of the town in two arches above and a wreath of linden (Croatian lipa, lipik meaning "a linden grove") branches, green with yellow fruits, below.
A similar flag (photo) without the word "Grad" in the inscription may stem from
prior to 1997, when Lipik had the status of Municipality. Yet a similar white flag without the branches and with the inscription
smaller and in two lines under the coat of arms is also in use (photo, photo, photo).
