The symbols of Rasinja are prescribed by Decision Odluka o grbu i zastavi Općine Rasinja, adopted on 25 November 1993 (earlier than the Statutes) by the Municipality Assembly and published on 14 April 1994 (later than the Statutes) in the County official gazette Službeni glasnik Županije Koprivnicko-križevacke, No. 7.
The symbols are described in the Municipality Statutes Statut Općine Rasinja, adopted on 24 February 1994 and published on 17 March 1994 in Službeni glasnik Županije Koprivnicko-križevacke, No. 2. This is repeated in the Municipality Statutes Statut Općine Rasinja, adopted on 27 September 2001 and published on 5 October 2001 in Službeni glasnik Koprivnicko-križevacke županije, No. 11, in the Municipality Statutes Statut Općine Rasinja, adopted on 15 July 2009 and published on 16 August 2009 in Službeni glasnik Koprivnicko-križevacke županije, No. 10, and in the current Municipality Statutes Statut Općine Rasinja, adopted on 28 March 2013 and published on 20 May 2013 in Službeni glasnik Koprivnicko-križevacke županije, No. 5 (text).
The symbols, designed by the Arbi d.o.o. company, from Zagreb, were approved by the Ministry of Administration on 18 April 1996, as reported by Erničić [erc03].
They were consecrated in 1994 by His Grace Marko Culej, Deputy Bishop of Zagreb.
The flag is described in Article 7 of the Decision, as follows:
The flag of the Municipality of Rasinja is white with the historical coat of arms in the middle. The ratio of the flag's width to its length is 1:2.
White symbolizes agriculture (Glas Podravine, 5 November 1993).

Coat of arms of Rasinja - Image by Željko Heimer, 10 August 2014
The coat of arms is described in Article 6 of the Decision, as follows:
The coat of arms of the Municipality of Rasinja is the historical coat of arms in a shield shape. The coat of arms is "Per fess, chief per pale, 1. A red-white checky, 2. In blue three golden wheat garbs. Bottom in red a golden six-pointed star, beneath which it is a silver crescent.
The modern artistic rendition of the arms is very faithful to the historical coat of arms, shown in Laszowski's Grbovi Jugoslavije [lsv39] as a seal from 1865.
