Description of the Flag

CLP Group, formerly China Light and Power, was founded in Hong Kong in 1901. Since its inception, it has supplied electricity to Kowloon and the New Territories (including most outlying islands), but not to Hong Kong Island, Ap Lei Chau and Lamma Island. It is also a major electricity supplier in Australia and parts of Asia.

The flag of CLP Group is blue, with the logo of CLP Group at the centre: a blue disc, fimbriated white, bearing the initials 'CLP' forming the Chinese word 中 (China) in white.

中 represents the CLP Group's Chinese name 中電集團, formerly China Light and Power 中華電力 (with 中華 being the formal name of China).
