Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur (10,895 inhabitants, 1,211 ha) is a French commune in the Côte-d'Or department, part of Dijon Métropole.
The site is said to have been used for trade in Gallo-Roman times and then developed into a village. The village of Chevigny is first mentioned in 878. In 1178, the canons of Saint-Étienne founded the church of the Holy Trinity, dedicated to Christ. Saint-Sauveur being a typically Burgundian name under which the Holy Trinity was celebrated, the village now bears the name of Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur. The castle of Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur is originally a fortified house built in the 12th century (it still has two square towers). In its contemporary form, it is the work of Pierre 1er Rigoley de Chevigny. The current pavilion was built in 1678 and then completed by a wing and a castle chapel in the 18th century.
The Amora factory (Unilever group), the largest European condiment manufacturing center, is located in Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur.
