Presentation of the CMAs

The Chambers of Trade and Artisanry (CMA) are organizations representing professional artisans.
The CMAs were organized, as Chambres de Métiers (Chambers of Trade) by the Law of 26 July 1925 and renamed Chambres de Métiers et de l'Artisanat by Decree No. 1,164 of 2 November 2004; their status was amended by Decree No. 1,356 of 11 November 2010.
The Assemblée permanente des Chambres de Métiers et de l'Artisanat" (APCMA, website) represent 83 CMAs organized at the department's level, federated at the regional level into 17 Chambres Régionales de Métiers et de l'Artisanat (CRMA).

Flag of the CMAs

The flag of the CMAs, as hoisted over the headquarters of the Yvelines CMA, located in Versailles, is white with the CMA logo.
The logo is made of a stylized red "C" letter surrounding a white "M" and a white "A", each placed on a green-blue-red-yellow background. The name of the organization is written below in black italic letters on two lines, "Chambre de Métiers / et de l'Artisanat".
