The flag of Solana del Pino (photo,

1992 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and published on 13 May
1992 in the official gazette of Castilla-La Mancha, No. 35, pp. 1,870-1,871 (text).
The flag is described as follows:
Flag: Yellow, 1.42 m in length on 0.99 m in width, charged in the center with the crowned municipal coat of arms.
The coat of arms of Solana del Pino is prescribed by Decree No. 108,
issued on 4 December 1985 by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha and
published on 10 December 1985 in the official gazette of Castilla-La
Mancha, No. 49, pp. 1,834-1,835 (text).
The coat of arms is described as follows:
Coat of arms: Or a piñon pine vert on a base of the same a mountain goat and a deer passant affronty to the trunk sable in chief a Cross of Calatrava gules. The shield surmounted by a Royal crown closed.
The symbols were proposed in 4 May 1984 by Ramón José Maldonado y Cocat (1916-1990).
The field or / yellow refers to the etymology of the place's name, from
sol, "the sun", a solana being a slope exposed southwards. The piñon
pine refers to the second part of the municipality's name, which alludes
to a centenary piñon pine - disappeared but substituted by a new one
planted by the municipality. The animals recall that the area, rich in
small (represented by the goat) and big (represented by the deer) game,
is a famous hunting place.
The Cross of Calatrava recalls that Solana del Pino is located in Campo
de Calatrava, the feudal domain once ruled by the Order.
