Alfdorf Coat of Arms

Shield Or a fleur-de-lis Azure, hanging from the fleur-de-lis a beech nut Vert at dexter and an acorn Vert at sinister, issuant from a triplemount Ver and accompanied by a picket fence Sable.
Meaning:
Meaning: The oldest village seal from 1550 displayed tzhe upper half of a fleur-de-lis and three acorns, hanging down from it. At that time the Rechberg family owned 2/3 of the village and the Dukes of Württemberg 1/3. The former built the "lower castle" in Alfdorf. In 1554 Würrttemberg gained the complete control over the village. The half fleur-de-lis probably had been a local symbol, changed however to a heraldic fleur-de-lis later on, when beech nut and acorn were added. When the seal pattern was changed to arms in 1934 the tinctures of beech nut and acorn were mentioned as "proper", in 1971 they are considered to be green. On 1 January 1972 the municipalities of Pfahlbronn and Vordersteinenberg were incorporated. The additional picket fence was representing Pfahlbronn and the triplemount Vordersteinenberg
