Description of flag:
It is a square with three red tails. The square is an image of the coat of arms.
Description of coat of arms:
There are three leaves of a water-lily, shaped like hearts. Two of them are above, one is below a line shaped like a hill with three peaks. The upper leaves are red in a silver(=white) field. Chief and base are
countercharged.
Meaning:
Colours and leaves are symbolizing the former rule of the counts of Tecklenburg. The mountain is symbolizing the cities name, which had been derived from "Berglehne".
