Shield Azure, two spades Argent hilted Sable in saltire, over all an impending cross patty Argent.
Meaning:
The arms of former Graben municipality displayed since 1901 the image of the seal of the namesake district (German: Amt), which was in use in the 16th and 17th century. Among others the district arms displayed the spades in saltire as a canting element. Literally a "peace of wood used for digging" (German: Grabscheit) is a synonym for a spade. Neudorf adopted proper arms in 1907, displaying an impending cross patty, a modification of the arms of the Bishopric of Speyer, as main charge. Both municipalities merged on 1 January 1972 and both main charges were combined in the new arms. The tinctures had already been those of both former municipalities.
