Shield Azure, the western façade of a church Argent with two spires Or, roof Or and port and windows Sable, flanked by two grain ears Or in pale, base Or charged with a fess wavy Azure.
Meaning:
The church is representing the local collegiate church. The ears are symbolising agriculture as important business line. Their 12 grains are referring to the 12 former municipalities of the city. The fess wavy is representing the Elbe River.
