It is a red-white-red vertical triband with ratio of stripes 1:4:1. The coat of arms is in the middle of the white stripe.

Shield gyronny of 12 of Gules and Argent, on fess point a disc Argent fimbriated Sable, charged with an 8-point star facetted of Or and Sable, on top of the disc a fleur de lis parted per pale of Sable and Or.
Meaning:
The tinctures of the gyrons are those of Brandenburg. The star has the shape of a compass rose and is symbolising the importance of Schönefeld as a junction of land, sea and air. The (East-) Berlin Airport was built here in times of the GDR.
