The flags ratio is 3:5. It is blue over white over blue horizontal triband with ratio 1:3:1. The coat of arms is in the centre of the white stripe.

It is a blue - white - blue vertical triband with ratio 1:2:1. The coat of arms is shifted to the top.
Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per pale. The dexter side shows a half silver(=white) eagle armed golden(=yellow) and tongued red. The dexter side shows a silver(=white) field divided by a black cross.
Meaning:
According to Veddeler 2003, p.180 the dexter side is taken from the arms of the counts of Arnsberg, the former rulers, the sinister side from the arms of the their heirs, the archbishops of Köln.

Flag and banner were approved by Regierungspräsident Arnsberg on 30 July 1976, the coat of arms was granted by the king on 28 January 1911.

The flags ratio is 3:5. It is a white flag. The local coat of arms is in the centre of the flag.

In a silver(=white) shield is a blue eagle, armed golden(=yellow) and tongued red. The shield is topped by a red wall masoned black.
Meaning:
Maybe it is an eagle of a branch of the counts of Arnsberg with inverted colours. (Grevenstein is home of one of the dinest beers brewed in Germany).
