French Shield parted per pale, at dexter Or a bend chequered of Gules and Argent, at sinister a well Or with three basins pouring water Argent, over all a heart Or in middle base point.
Meaning:
The well is canting and taken from the arms of the Cistercian Heilsbronn Abbey from 1525. The abbey was established in 1132 and secularised in 1578. Then the Cistercian bend was added to the arms. The meaning of the heart is not known. It a appeared first in seal of the abbey in the late 17th century. Heilsbronn had been a market town until 1932 and gained city rights in the same year.
