House flag of Salamis

The house flag of Salamis has a blue background divided into three equal stripes by thin horizontal white stripes. On the center of the flag there is a gold map of Cyprus (as on the national flag) and on the center of the map there is white disk with a blue "S".

Josef Nuesse shows a different version of the flag (photo) with the island far larger and more golden and with the white legend "SALAMIS LINES" in base. The flag is ascribed to Salamis Lines (Hellas) Ltd. who Lloyds show as acting as agents for the fleet. The Salamis Lines (Hellas) Ltd. appears to have relocated itself in Limassol as Salamis Lines Ltd. going by Lloyds so Cyprus is the correct domicile.

Salamis lines operates a passenger line from Haifa to Limassol and its ships are almost daily visitors in Haifa Port. The house flag (and the funnel) are as appear in Nuesse's photo, without the inscription.
I don't know about company base, but all the ships that I have seen (quite many of them in fact) hoist the Cyprus flag and their homeport is Limassol.

A photo of Salamis Glory, 7 July 2007, shows Nuesse's version of the house flag being flown from the jack staff, although this looks to me like it might have slightly different proportions to the table flag, and from the main mast as the house flag.
In all cases another difference from the image shown on top of this page is that the "S" is on a slight lean to the fly. The funnel panels of the Pontos (spotted 3 June 2008) and Salamis Glory (spotted 27 June 2007) differ from the flag in the shape of the island but do support the lean of the "S".
The use of the house flag and the outlined island funnel image is confirmed by a photo of the Salamis Filoxenia, 23 May 2011.
