Description of the flag

According to this news website:
The flag of Gran Chaco Province was adopted by Municipal Ordinance N° 013/94 on 14 April 1994. The 14th of April is recognized as Gran Chaco Flag Day. It is composed of two horizontal stripes, the upper one green and lower white. Per the Municipal Ordinance, green symbolizes wealth in biodiversity and hope in regional progress. White symbolizes purity, sincerity, and traditional friendship and hospitality of the chaqueños. The origins of this flag lie in four different things mainly. Firstly is the Chaqueña Action Center, which has identified itself with green and white since 1947, and its colors adorned civic festivals in 1975 and 1976. Second is the fact it was prominent in many other festivals. Third is that many sport teams decided to identify with these colors. Finally, the fourth factor is that these two colors are quite prominent in the region.

Caraparí

Caraparí uses the symbols of Gran Chaco as its own; its four flagpoles reflect this, as they only have the flags of Gran Chaco, Tarija department, Bolivia, and the Wiphala.

Yacuiba

Per Article 9 of Yacuiba’s charter, it recognizes the symbols of the Gran Chaco province (flag, coat of arms, anthem) as its own symbols.
